We have completed a science experiment looking at how different liquids affect our teeth. We have looked at the importance of attending the dentist and the importance of looking after our teeth.

In History, we looked at Athens and how they voted for their leader. We looked at how Athens wanted better for their city because of their tyrant leadership.

In Art, we looked at ‘ground’ and ‘underpainting’ and how it is a technique of painting in layers. 

In Maths, we looked at thousands and represented numbers to 10,000. We have also been practising our times tables. 

In English, we have continued our sentence stacking lessons based on Iron Man, using onomatopoeia, pathetic fallacy, adjectives and verbs.

In Geography, we looked at map scales and compared the distance between places in Kings Lynn.

In English, we have begun our sentence stacking lessons based on 'The Iron Man' by Ted Hughes. We have used questions, adjectives and verbs to create sentences. 

In PSHE, we discussed 'What we should do when another person is speaking? How can you show kind behaviour in class? Why do we take turns in a group?' Children came up with responses of waiting until the person has finished talking before saying something, listening to what the person is saying, showing respect, and so, it is fair.

In Science, we looked at the food groups and why things like protein and carbohydrates are important for our body.

In Spelling with having been practising the 'au' and 'augh'.

We looked at our zones of regulations, understanding what they are and how to use them. We completed some maths work using concrete resources to represent numbers to 1000. In English, we chose a picture and looked at nouns, verbs and adjectives. We then completed sentences including these nouns, verbs and adjectives. In PSHE, we looked at a class team and how our attitudes and actions can impact on our class team. In Art, we looked at how artists can use tone to show form and drama.
