Autumn 1 Week 3
Aspire Suite
This week in Aspire, our pupils took part in assessment week, completing a range of activities designed to help staff establish clear baseline information across key areas of learning, including phonics, reading and mathematics. The children approached these assessments with determination and resilience, working hard to demonstrate their current knowledge, skills and understanding. The information gathered will help staff identify individual strengths, recognise areas where additional support may be needed, and ensure learning is carefully tailored to meet each child's needs throughout the year.

Alongside assessments, we have continued to focus on embedding our daily routines and expectations, helping pupils develop confidence and independence within the Aspire environment. It has been wonderful to see pupils becoming increasingly familiar with classroom procedures, building positive relationships with adults and peers, and growing in confidence as members of the Parkway Academy community.

We have also continued to spend time reflecting on the Parkway Academy rules and values, encouraging pupils to demonstrate respect, responsibility and kindness in all aspects of school life. Through discussions, collaborative activities and daily reflection, pupils are developing a greater understanding of how these values help us create a positive and supportive learning environment for everyone.
